This was a Christmas gift for my oldest niece! I got the idea from one of those free pattern flyers they have at Joanns. The pattern was written oddly, though, so I just ended up winging it. The pink gingham was a shirt I bought a couple years ago originally to make a cheytown dress out of for my dd. Never got around to it, obviously, but I think it ended up making a very sweet apron!

I love this! My 3 year old son always wants to help in the kitchen and something like this would be perfect for him... except maybe not a heart.  Cheesy You've inspired me... thanks!

haha, yeah he might not be too keen on the heart. Originally I was going to make the hat all pink, too, but I screwed up and cut too small of a circle for the top of the hat (I blame the weird instructions) and then didn't have enough fabric to make a larger one. So my solution to "tie it all together" was to applique the heart on it.
