So I am doing this 50 projects for 2010.  I am not sure why but I decided to attack what I had initially thought was project far beyond my capabilities but I did it!  And I could not be happier!

I found this tutorial on Emily's So Much For My Plans blog:  http://somuchformyplans.blogspot.com/2009/09/mail-bag-tutorial.html

And I thought... I really like this and I have that awesome coat wool that I think would be perfect to use!

So I took  my chances on using the gray wool that I was coveting and I could NOT BE HAPPIER!  I honestly did not think I could do it!

This is the front

This is the inside of the bag... I figured out how to make the pockets out of the lining ( I know not complicated for sewers but I was proud of myself)

This is the pocket I made on the front... has velcro closure and it is folded so it is expandable!

Ok so I know that this may not be a huge deal for some experienced sewers but for me I could not be more excited!  It is 18 inches long and 15 inches wide.... the strap is probably too long but it is perfect being across the body which I like to do!

I am VERY open for comments and criticisms!  I am still learning!

That's a very nice bag! I've made a few bags, and it's STILL impressive to me. Smiley

I think you did great!  To me, the first leap is the toughest...and you took it!

It works for you, it is functional, you learned...and I think you mentioned in the other thread that you wanted to embellish it a bit?

That would make it extra special!!  Good for you!
