I made this for a swap - done with a very pretty variegated Berroco Peruvia, and an ombre blue yarn that was a mixture of mohair and silk - so soft.  I had some trouble hand felting it, so I did it in the machine, which gave me issues too, but I was able to shape it as it dried nicely.  I think next time, I will knit the body of it longer as it felted very tightly.

I embellished with some shiny ribbon from Mokuba, and a beaded flower I made last year.

I have a real weakness for this style of hat. Its so gorgeus, You can tell theres alot of time and love in that.

that hat is amazing, the colour, the style, the ribbony flowery bits...(if i thought it would fit my huge head i'd be tempted to steal it!)

Thank you.  The more I look at it, the more I want to keep it - I am thinking about making a black ombre version with red ribbon for myself.  It's good to know my small mixing bowl is the same size as my head (though hopefully the top of my head is not as flat as the bottom of the bowl!)
