Okay, so I was urged to come out of my forum-lurking comfort zone and actually POST something. This seemed like a nice, general sort of thing to start with.

Anyway... I'd just finished a hat and scarf set to send to a friend of mine off in New York for Valentine's Day, and wanted to add a letter to the package. Regular envelopes? Pah! Why use plain white envelopes when you have plenty of pink yarn and a set of crochet hooks handy!

Originally, I had planned to fold the corners in and sew them together, but I didn't care for the way they were fitting together. A few minor changes later, and this is what I got!

As it turns out, it's also exactly the right size to hold my Nintendo DS. I'm going to make another for myself and add a nice button and a handle. Smiley

I know it's a bit cheesy, but hopefully you'll all like it anyway!  Cheesy

I think it's adorable!!
I could definitely see using something like that a lot. What a great thing, to give someone a letter, but then they can use it for other things afterwards. Smiley
