I am a huge Bleach fan, and when I saw the Bount arc a while ago, I knew that I had to make the plushie form of Kurodo. He's a very minor character, but he was so cute and funny. I think that I made him a little creepy looking and he gets super chubby and deformed when I put things in him, but I love him and that's all that counts. :p

A reference picture. (He's the pink bunny):

Whole thing. He's a working bag with a real zipper:

His face. I used real studs for the eyes:

His tie and buttons:

Also, as a bonus for all you Ghibli fans, I also made a soot sprite for a friend for Christmas. He's the Totoro version because I was too lazy to add arms and legs. :p He was really easy to make, though. I basically just crocheted a black ball and sewed on two white circles for eyes.

Reference picture:

Full body. I think he's really cute, but if I was going to make another one, I think I would use fuzzier yarn that time around:

Close up of eyes:

Thank you so much for looking!

You've got some mad skills lady.  If I could crochet, I would crochet anime and superheroes.  THIS ROCKS!

Given a cape, tiara and a strong cup of coffee, yeah, I could rule the world.

I'm not familiar with Bleach, but I agree with the others saying "this bag is fantastic!" Great work!

Man, you are just full of awesome today! I've been trying to think of anime-inspired bags to sell at a con later this year, and I'm ashamed to say that this one never crossed my mind!  Smiley

I love how he turned out! His eyes and his mouth are too cute. More importantly, though.... Kurodo is... supposed to be a bunny?? How did I never notice this?

Thanks! I'm really getting into crocheting anime stuffs lately. And it would be awesome to see superheros!

Hehe, thanks. Cheesy If you ever get a chance, the show's really awesome. :p

Aw, thanks! Cheesy Ohh, you should post pictures of all the bags when you're finished. I would love looking at anime-inpired bags. And it never quite hit me that he was supposed to be a bunny, either, until I started Googling info about him in prep for this project. He's quite an odd looking bunny. :p

Your bag is so amazing! I haven't seen Bleach, but I still think what you made is great, esp the details.
And the soot sprite is really cute.
