Last year, I thougth up an awesome idea to make the boyfriend for Christmas. Sadly, it was about three days after the last one, so I had to wait a whole year to give it to him. Luckly, we made it the year, so I was able make it!

I present, the original 8-bit Nintendo Link blanket!

Before he was all sewn up. I ended up arranging him during a blackout at our house with the little flashlight you see in the corner:

Sewn together. He collectedly took 54 tan squares, 38 green squares, and 70 brown squares, which is about 162 squares total:

The boy holding it up. Dispite his less-than-amused expression, he really did like it. I just caught him off gaurd when I took the picture:

I think that this project is the one that I'm the most proud of. I also have to mention enemyairship's mario blanket even though most of you have probally already seen it, because looking at it helped me a lot while putting Link together.

Thanks for looking.

Yay! Thanks. Cheesy

Thank you! That acutally means a lot because my friends kept asking my why he wasn't a square blanket and told me to "finish" him. I like him just the way he is. It's really good to hear that someone else likes the shape too. :p

Yay Link! Awesome! I admire your patience.

Thanks! It acutally didn't take that much patience. I started on it during the summer, so I only worked on it when I wanted to and stopped when I got bored. :p

This is awesome Cheesy Great job!!

Thanks much!

I never thought of doing them out of granny squares!  How simple and brilliant!  The work that goes into doing a huge afghan like that is amazing.  LOVE IT!
