Sooo, what started out as a fun, end-of-the-year xmas project with the kids took a more warrior turn after the kids left and the older kids got to play Smiley

--Here are the plans for our castle. Not a house. A castle. Complete with gummi bear warriors.

--The kids get to decorate the actual castle, the fortress walls are still yet to come

After the young'ins decorated their part of the castle, we set to work on fortifying it and recreating a battle scene of epic proportions with the use of our crafty minds and 3 bags of gummi bears at our disposal. We included a moat, nay, an ocean of blood.

Siege ladder!

Sieged!

Piked!

Peace was not served this xmas..

Flame arrowed!

Saving their fellow soldiers from the ocean of blood with sea monsters

Sea monsters!

The gummi bear pyre for those slain during the epic battle

Out of all the lovely gingerbread houses I've seen so far... I think this must be my favourite.  Cheesy
It's so different from the others, in a good way!

Nice use of gummi bears. Wink
(Oh, and I just LOVE their little chocolatey helmets!)

Warped.....  wonderfully, wonderfully warped!

Poor, brave gummi warriors.  May their gummi spirits live on forever, feasting in gummi Valhalla, being served by gummi Valkyries.
