My inspiration for this challenge came from both my childhood as well as the more recent history of my life and the lives of my family members. I grew up in the middle of nowhere, literally. The closest neighbor was a mile away and the closest road with lines painted on it was at least 5 miles away. When I moved away to college I was mercilessly teased for being a redneck, having grown up on a farm. There were those who accused me of having an accent, but I maintain that I do not.
Just recently 2 of my little sisters moved into a mobile home together which is located deeper in the sticks than we ever lived growing up. Theyve also taken up habits that some may view as being more redneck than not. And so this entry is in honor of my 2 little sisters and their ever-evolving lifestyles. I love my sisters and am enjoying watching them grow up.

Great gingerbread house and story behind it.  It's simplicity and attention to details make this a nice looking and clean piece of art!  Thanks for sharing it with us!

That is truely one of the best gingerbread houses I've seen. Are they making hot dogs in their barbaque? Lol! I love it!  Grin

Not sure where you live, but for the record, only outsiders call everyone "rednecks".  We sticks natives like to otherwise use the term "country" or "hillbilly".

For some odd reason, I guess it's the left-over x-mas stuff still lingering, I had this pop into my head...

'With visions of gingerbread trailer parks dancing through their heads'... haha Don't ask.

This is just brilliant, seriously.

I love this!  I like the attention to detail (especially the powerline pole!!!)  I have to confess that I must google both "bananagrams" and "cornhole".  I absolutely adore the little barbeque!! so many nice touches.  great work

My favorite thing are the windows... the kind that open from the inside with a crank, right? Smiley

Larry the Cable Guy would be proud! Awesome job!
I absolutely like the simplicity of your creation verses the over decorated ones.

Great Job!

Thank you to everyone for all the nice comments! I think the details were the most fun to work on.

Yes, those are hotdogs.
Another yes to the crank windows.

I hope I made Alan Jackson proud. Smiley

Thanks again everyone!

Ha! Love the trailer idea and the results. And the cornhole game is the perfect touch.
