question: okay, um i want to make two bags, that sort of are the same theme, and are meant to be taken two the store together (one for small things, one for big things) and am wondering, would that count as one entry? or would i have to choose on as my official entry?

If you feel they would naturally compliment one another in a set of some sort, I think it's okay to enter them as one entry.

Do more of what makes you happy.

Craft Challenge #47 - Reusable Shopping Bag Challenge 2 - Due Feb 1 - Feb 7

This month, your challenge is to create a shopping bag from materials that might otherwise be thrown away and perhaps sent to a landfill.  You can use other craft supplies and components, but the result should feature the disposable item(s) as the focal point of the project.  Your completed bag should be at least as big as a typical paper or plastic grocery bag, but it can be bigger.
will it count if I make something out of old jeans?
as long as its a shopping bag it should be good to go.

Yep, as long as it's something you would otherwise throw away, it's okay.  Use your best judgment on this since obviously refuse varies from person to person.

Personally, I would never throw a pair of jeans away, so I couldn't use jeans as my disposable material of choice.
Uh... what if I don't really throw anything away if I think I can figure out a way to use it? What I'm thinking of is certainly something most people would toss, but before I'd read about this challenge I'd already decided I wouldn't do that - I could use them as cleaning rags if nothing else. So... am I going to have figure out a shopping bag out of mandarin peels or something? Tongue (Which I was actually saving for, y'know, something, but my dad threw them out. Roll Eyes )

(First post, btw, but long-time lurker. I'm glad I joined. This seems like fun!)
