Craft Challenge #47 - Reusable Shopping Bag Challenge 2 - Due Feb 1 - Feb 7

In 2007, we did the Reusable Shopping Bag Challenge. We thought it would be fun to kick off this new year with a similar challenge, which encourages recycling and reusable materials. After all, you can always use a second shopping bag!

This month, your challenge is to create a shopping bag from materials that might otherwise be thrown away and perhaps sent to a landfill. You can use other craft supplies and components, but the result should feature the disposable item(s) as the focal point of the project. Your completed bag should be at least as big as a typical paper or plastic grocery bag, but it can be bigger. We found these awesome projects on Craftster that might inspire you along the way: Capri Sun bag, rice bag tote, fused plastic bag, Starburst candy wrapper bag.

Rules:

Post your craft during the period of Feb 1 - Feb 7 2010. No sooner. No later. On Feb 1 there will be a special folder created for entries.
Voting will happen from Feb 8 - Feb 15 2010.
Each participant can enter ONE project (Although your entry can have multiple components to it).

Originality:

It's probably impossible to know whether your project is 100% original and has never been posted on Craftster or made by anyone else in the past. But if your project was definitely inspired by something you've seen before, then just give credit to that project.

At the end, I'll set up a poll right here and the first place winner will get...

(1) their project in the Featured Projects area
(2) their project in the Craftster Blog
