I feel in love with  Tero's octopus thread catcher extraordinaire located here:

http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=324048.0

I was inspired to create a thread catcher organizer that is more me- so I thought on in for quite a while and came up with this

The tea cup and separate saucer are made with a white on white cotton print with a weighted sand pouch in the bottom and is monogrammed because I just got an embroidery sewing machine and I need an excuse to play with it

- the "tea" was created cinnamon roll style to hold many sewing tools, (although only a few are shown) and was made from a brown upholstery fabric I found in my stash and is stuffed lightly with fiber fill-

The tea bag is made from the same cotton and upholstery fabric as the tea cup

I gave my very small and difficult to use seam ripper a makeover with polymer clay and turned it into a spoon and more user friendly

I covered my tape measure to look like a double stuff sandwich cookie cause ya know you love to dunk

the scissor cover is a lemon slice that I hand painted onto  a white cotton poly blend using acrylic paints before cutting out and sewing together

the sugar cube is made from felt stuff lightly with fiberfill and is hiding my sewing machines screwdriver

It took a while to figure out the pattern and to draft the pieces The cup which I imagined to be the biggest challenge came out exactly as I hoped on the first try the saucer took two tries and was more challenging than I ever imagined-all the time effort were so worth it, it looks so much better in person

I wondered what it was all going to be when I saw it in another thread.  I'm lovin' the whole teacup theme.

I just have one question.  There appears to be another stick in the teacup.  What is it for?

Thank you everyone for the wonderful comments-
Creating this took 10 unique pattern pieces and uses a 45 fabric/ fleece and interfacing pieces combined

as a result it is taking me longer than I expected to write it up in a manner that is short, concise and easy to understand- this is definitely not a beginner project,

i absolutely in love with that. when i first looked at it i thought the cup was a real tea cup. fantastic idea. ive been wanting to make a tea cup for my mom b/c she is a collector of miniature tea sets. if you dont mind could you give me a rough sketch of the tea cup. ive been trying fo a long time to make a pattern but have never accessibly made one that looked even remotely like a teacup(lol) anyway, beautiful job.
