I don't know what they are called in English. But we call these doudou's

They are little blankets with a high cuddliness factor. Usually with an option to attach a pacifier.

on to the pictures:

They are presents for resp. a colleague's new baby and my best friends new baby

Once they are born they will be embroidered with the name and birthdate and then they are done.

They are made of some velvety fabric (nice and soft) and a sleek fabric to counter. Both wings and blanket are stuffed with fiberfill. They are machine washable at high temperature (for hygiene) and the wings make crackling sounds like a potato-chips bag for extra fun.

Those are brilliant! That baby is going to be the coolest ever - I wish it was mine! You did a really good job on them, I love the different fabrics, and the crackly wings are a great idea.

Those are just wonderful!
I haven't the faintest idea what the English equivalent is though- my knowledge of children's things is very limited.

So cool.  I think my 52-year-old mom would love one, never mind a baby!  LOL.

And my family calls them loveys.  (love-eez)

I sooo want one of these for my son (because I love dragons, and since he's 7 months old with very few opinions, he does too  Tongue)

Depending on where you live, that could be arranged Cheesy

I have a question for the mom's on this forum:

"Will the Fluff on the blue one be a problem with little kids?"
If so, I'll make a new one with spikes instead

these are amazing!

question: how big are they?  or, more generally, how big should a security blanket (what I've always heard these things called) be?

thanks!

How cute!!  What a creative and awesome gift for new babies.  The different textures are great.  I just spent some time with my nephews and let me tell you- having the pacifier attached is a wonderful idea.  Those things are always getting lost!

Again, great job, they look very well made.  Plus dragons are just cool  Wink
