I am participating in the Dachshund Lovers swap right now and having SOOO much fun! The only problem is that I'm feeling a little guilty about my doxies getting so much attention when I also have two wonderful great danes and a lab at home.

I thought I'd suggest a large/giant breed dog swap tailored specifically to the needs of big doggies and big doggy lovers. Some possible crafts might be martingale collars, hip/joint treats,  traffic leashes or a hand-knit sweater for my 150 lb dane (just kidding!!). Of course we could also craft for the dog lovers too...t-shirts, bags applique'd with your favorite mutt, or embroidered tea towels are just a few ideas.

Anyone interested?

I was actually looking for a pet themed swap. I have a 3mo black lab who wears 3T children's shirts because it's too cold to walk around and he doesn't fit dog clothes.  I'm about to start working on cape style coat for him.  It would also be nice to swap large sized dog toys as they're sooo expensive in stores and the little toys get torn up so quickly.

BTW, this is my first "large" dog I've ever had. My previous two dogs were rat terriers so this is a whole new world for me!

I would love this swap! When my little Weimaraner gets big I will be in need of some items. I also have a Redbone Coonhound who is a big lapdog.  Grin  A nice feeding bowl or water bowl would be a nice idea too!

Oh yeah - a nice dog bowl is a great idea!

I know there have been a couple dog swaps in the past. The galleries were fantastic!

Oooh. I might be interested in this if the sign up was after I'm eligible to swap. (new here!)
We have a 7 week old puppy Greta who is almost 8 weeks old and already 12 lbs! She is half boxer and half...? everyone seems to be guessing Mastiff!!!!

She's VERY smart and a real doll, but shes gonna be a big girl!

Aw this would be perfect for me too! Although my "big dog" is only about 65-70 lbs haha she feels a little neglected with the Doxie swap as well.

I've been looking for a dog related swap, would you all be up for a general dog swap? Big dogs would be more than welcomed! In one of the previous dog swaps I was in, I have small dogs and I swapped with larger dogs and it wasn't a problem. Smiley I'd be happy to organize if there's interest!

Yes! I'd definitely be up for a general dog swap. The past rounds have looked so fun.

darn just missed sign ups for the general dog swap.  I would be interested in this swap, since I have a 110 pound chesepeake bay retriever, Athena and Phanes my 85 pound black lab mix

of course my 2 dogs are also nice to the 2 cats that share the house.
