very cool purse! Looks like a very sturdy bag that will hold lots!  And I also love your lining fabric! It's very cool. I have not seen anything like that around Calgary!

you all have got to see this bag i got in the mail yesterday! it's got stars and swirls and embroidery on it! embroidery! i can't even believe how psyched i am! at the risk of beeing a gushing geek it really is tremendous! and she put in a value added bonus! a super folding wallet that is on the tutorial board!

this was my first swap, and boy was it great! it's the perfect size, and the perfect strap length too!  and did i mention the swirls and stars? what about the embroidery?

yay Elizasmom! you rock!  thanks thanks thanks!

I love the swirly star fabric. Wow!

I'm hoping that my bag is waiting for me at home.

All of the bags have looked so great.

I just received my bag from the queen jane. It's a little black clutch with fushia twill ribbon that goes up one side wraps up around to the front. I can slip my wrist into the ribbon handle.
It has 14 little beads on it that are so cute!
I am sorry I don't have a camera to show you a picture of it though.  The queen jane said she has a digital though and hopefully she took a picture of it before sending it to me.
I know she has received mine so that is two more you can strike off the list of received!
Thanks for arranging this swap!

Yes I did take pics!

Here is the bag I sent.  She said she liked 1930s style bags, so I used my handy, A Century of Bags to look up cool designs.  So this is what I came up with:

And the back:

And here is the original Elsa Schiaparelli I based it on:

And now to the purse she sent me.  She researched me on the site and found out that I like to study Lady Jane Grey.  Just a little history refresher to those who don't know; Lady Jane was queen of England for 9 days in 1553.  Really obscure historical figure but I love to get my hands on anything to do with her.  You may have notice my screen name...
Anyways she made me this incredible cilyndrical bag out of this sparkly black fabric, and the best part?  It's covered in different pictures of Lady Jane!!

I love it so much!  Thank you! Thank you!  Thank you!

And now on to some pictures.....

wow queen jane so glad you like the purse! I had a hard time deciding which pictures to use and I had so many that I had to make the bag bigger!  Cheesy

I really like the little bag you made me. The handle is so cool. This is the first time I've seen something like that!

I checked out the book you mentioned and wow I just have to have that! My hubby is rolling his eyes! "another book another purse! just what you need"

I collect hats, gloves, scarves and purses and they are starting to take over! I  have a little hat that the colours will match with pefectly and gloves well I have three pair to go with the ensemble!

Thank you
