funky black purse swap - pictures!

Hello!  I recieved my purse, and since i didn't see a post for it yet thought I'd start one!

Craftaddict...i LOVE the purse!  Especially the lining--so retro cool!  The pins are fabulous!

Just so you get an idea of what she sent me, i'm going to try my best to describe it (i don't have a camera, so if you have one Craftaddict and took a picture, please post it!). 

It's a black clutch type bag, with a cut-out handle.  The outside is black (duh) and the inside is a retro-y polka-dot print in orange and watermelon.  There are three flower pins on the outside and in the center of each is one of my favorite people (one has Audrey Hepburn, another David Bowie and a third has Ed Norton).  It's absolutely fabulous!

Thank you so much.  I just want to give you a heads up, i may not be mailing out until the end of the week.  I appologize for that (its kinda crappy) but I've got grad school to finish up and some family business to take care of.  I am working on though!  It's cut out (has been for a couple weeks) and embellishments have been added...now just to essemble!

Hey Tina,
I'm so glad you got it and liked it.  I can't believe it got there so fast! Don't worry, send mine out when you have a chance.  I do have pics and I'll post when I get a chance.  I was sort of nervous about the colors but the print was so cool.  I'm very similar to you in color choices (ex. not being such a huge fan of orange and whatnot) but that fabric just knocked my socks off.  the center of the pins are buttons I made so you can actually snip them off and use them elsewhere if you want or if you want to put something different in the middle. 

To elaborate before I edit and add pics, the pattern was by Amy Butler (can't remember the name right now but it was the reversible purse), the flowers were the fabric folded style on here in a tutorial and the buttons were made in a similar method to the glass marble magnet technique also found on here.

that's gorgeous! i'm confused about the buttons in the centre of the flowers though! they're basically marble magnets, but what makes them into buttons?

I LOVE it, its so cute. The polka dots are sweet. I was almost gonna make the same bag but my partner wanted something small so I changed my mind.

They basically are marble magnets except that I bought these metal things (sorry, dont' know the technical word, maybe settings?), put the pic in, glued in a plastic lens type thing, and then glued a button shank to the back.  It's the same concept of making the marble bracelets, only there's a button shank on it.  I considered gluing a marble magnet to the center but was concerned that it would be too heavy and fall off.

Thanks for the kind replies from everyone (esp. Tinapickles), I thought it looked pretty good but I wasn't sure if that was just the flu talking!
