.....including a woman sporting a beard? damn straight!

i may be a lady, but i have always experienced Facial Hair Envy - there's something so distinguished about stroking a beard, or twirling a moustache. i just can't convey "mwa-ha-ha...my evil plan is working!" or, "hmmm....perhaps if i replace the rehydratormechanism with the hydroflouricator...." by playing with my hair or pulling on my tshirt.

so! i decided to make one. here's to you and your facial hair rules!! *shakes fist in direction of sky*

actually, this was a present to my bro for christmas, as he's off snowboarding and is always looking for a new crazy hat. but you may notice that all the pics of it, are of me. deal with it. the rest of the family had to. ALL christmas day.

so, anyway: this was done all by single crochet (the only crochet i know....) and i just improvised the pattern for the moustache and beard. i used a big hook for the hat, and a smaller one for the beard part. it all came out really well and i almost cried when i had to give it away. alas...on with the pics:

the hat part completed:

the beard part completed:

all of it done:

and another token shot with my clip-in hair extensions, which add to my distinguished nature:

let me know what you think!

LOL!  I'd love to make one of these for my bro-in-law.  I made him a monster hat for when he drives the zamboni, he'd probably get a kick out of this!  Love the idea of having a mustache to play with too...  anyway, you did a great job!!!  Very creative!

Hehe. I always thought it'd be neat to be the bearded lady at a sideshow. I also have recently developed an obsession with mustaches, so I think this is great.

omg--totally silly and fun!  I think you might be seeing a lot of bearded beauties this winter sporting this look!

I would wear it just to make people take a second look!
