hey everyone! so i've wanted to find a navy blazer with a tartan interior for a loooong time, finally i just bought a pattern and decided to try it myself. now, if you've seen other things ive made on here you know i RARELY use a commercial pattern. this is not because im better at making patterns then they are but because i never learned how to use them properly. Tongue BUT but...this time i decided to try to make it EXACTLY following their directions, fully expecting to curse wildly and end up throwing it in a pile out of frustration never to be finished.

well ta da!
i actually did it! (though the way the instructions showed was much more difficult then necessary, they have you the lining in a WELL screwed up manner.)



the pattern: Mcall's M5935
the fabric: navy moleskin (in LOVE) and cotton tartan
the time: about 10 hours total?

this is probably the MOST technically difficult piece ive ever attempted and it turned out beautifully if i may say so myself! i hope i inspired other who think they cant make something like this!

Fabulous blazer and really fits you well! I can never get any of those patterns to fit me! It looks great and you sure did a wonderful job!
