Well I've realised we're nearing the end of May, and unless I want a "Christmas-buying-making-prezzie-rush" I need to get my butt into gear!
I guess the first thing I need to decide is what to make everyone!
I need gifts for:
- my husband (I'm thinking of making him a hollow book)
- my sister (maybe I can knit/crochet her a top/jersey/bolero. Make her  journal/diary)
- my brother-in-law
- mother
- grandmother (thinking of making her a nice handbag/shopping bag/photo album/scrapbook
- mother-in-law (likes water fountains and cute lamps... also collects stuffed toys and fridge magnets. Perhaps I could make her a poppet)
- father-in-law

What is a hollow book?  Huh Do you mean one of those 'fake' books with a bottle of whisky inside?  Wink

Well I'm on my way! I just sat and made 5 Christmas cards. I used some old cards and some paper scraps and I'm quite happy with the results!  Grin

Nice cards - I think I like the first one the most, but they are all great. And thank you for the link to the tute. It looks like fun. Maybee I should make some for my nieces. They will love to have a hidden place for secrets. Grin

Hey Crusaders...just checking in Smiley

I think I'm going to make these cute headbands for my two teeny bopper nieces. I followed this tutorial here: http://racheldenbow.blogspot.com/2009/11/braided-headband-tutorial.html. This is a tester, I would just suggest measuring each step of the way. I think that my braids came out shorter than the ones in the tutorial, and the finished product is kind of squeezing the life out of my head! HA! Ah well, live and learn Smiley

I'm trying actively make my list of projects, and I came across a GREAT thread here on Craftster about "production line" gifts. Follow this link for a great resource: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=131703.0

Hope you all are well!

I would just about die if someone knitted me a pair of socks!  I know it takes a ton of work, so I'm sure your SIL will love them no matter what.
