Wow, this thread has been quiet for a while! Are we in a post-Christmas crafting slump? Smiley

Oh yeah Karin. Every year in January I usually sit down and make my Christmas list right away. No go this year. Being so sick through out the holidays really put a damper on my enthusiasm. I'm starting to see the light though. I'm making myself do some small craft projects to gear up for the great Christmas craft-a-long. Even Craftastic Christmas Crusaders get the craft slumpies!

In other news...I ran across a blog the other day that is doing a boy-craft month. Awesome stuff. Can't remember it off the top of my head, but I'll post the link later. I'm sure it would be of interest to some other people on this thread!

Don't you just HATE it when life gets in the way of quality crafting??? I do . . . I have just been working on dishcloths, nothing more complex or creative . . . What can you do? Not much Smiley

Me, too!  I had big plans and have been knitting away, but I have very little to show for it!  I did finish a beret intended as an xmas gift (made with vintage yarn!  super cute)--but I've decided to send it now to a friend who did me a huge favor.  I'm working on another one, but I'm not sure it will be finished by the end of the month!

Wow, this thread has been quiet for a while! Are we in a post-Christmas crafting slump? Smiley I know I am, I have not been able to craft AT ALL this month. School has been crazy... I need to get off my butt and complete at least one more ornament next week!  Wink

Yep...life is happening even if crafting is not.  But I will finish some ornaments before the end of the month!

Wow, I totally think I need to join this craftalong.  I promised myself that most presents and all tree decorations were going to be handmade in 2009 but failed slightly and ended up burning out towards the end.  So I swore up and down that I would start earlier and Get Things Done.

So far, I've managed one crocheted snowflake...

This might keep me on task for the year!

So far Ive managed to make something like 18 coasters (4 to a set for each Aunty/Uncle/Adult cousin to go with painted mugs) and have done a bit more on a massive blanket Im making for my nana (queen size I hope, or lap size if I get sick of doing double crochet). Im getting there... slowly lol  Cheesy

I found a temporary job so I don't have much time to craft at the moment... and my wedding is coming up in April so I'm taking a backseat for the moment.

katara -- I totally hear you there. I am returning to work in a week and a half, moving two days after that and working on a project for my brother's wedding. It's hectic! Best wishes for your wedding...Don't get to stressed out. Smiley

Congrats katara!  I'm doing wedding stuff too!  My sister's wedding...her dress, bridesmaid dress, flowergirl dress.  Whew!  But that'll all be over the first week of May, so then I'll get back to Christmas stuff.

I did, however, pull off a few Christmas ornaments this week, five to be exact.  They're just from kits my mom gave me (she bought 'em from the Oriental Trading Company).
