Willowe - are you familiar with Ravelry? www.ravelry.com. You may have some luck with finding crochet patterns there! You do have to be a member to search though (free and easy peasy). Good luck!

You know what the sad thing is? I have a Ravelry account and never even thought of looking there. Tongue Thanks for the reminder- I think I've found a pattern that may work! Gonna start working on it tonight and see how things go.

Great socks, Stoliedina!  I love the colors!

And I am inspired by everyone's planning and hard work!  Off to cast on another "comfy sock" -- this time out of a wool/acrylic blend that is softer and machine washable!

PS: I am taking a "Spend Smart" course and learned tonight that my crafting supplies are "Gazingus Pins" (a term from Your Money or Your Life referring to those things one regularly indulges in buying Wink  Just thought others might enjoy the funny term.

I can't wait to get started on decorating. I know it isn't even halloween yet but I wont be home for halloween so now I am planning on winter decorations. I also am starting on sewing the reusable gift bags Smiley I think I am going to make simple drawstring bags that can be used over and over. Cheesy

You're welcome! I can't wait to see the finished product!

Thanks, rockon! I am trying to use up my "gazingus pins" so the color combinations have been directed by how much (or little) sock yarn I actually have. The results surprised me - I like the colors too!

I've really been utilizing my stash so far. Not to sound cheapy or anything, but I have not spent a dime extra on craft supplies thus far for Christmas crafting this year. Everything I've used is either recycled, or stuff that is taking up space in my craft closet. It feels nice to put those yarns and fabrics to good use!

Oooh, I have wanted to do that for like three years running and I never get to it! Can't wait to see them all done!

can you make it reversable? so recycled on the outside and christmas on the inside viseversa?

Ive been quietly working away. Im making the adult cousins, Auntys and Uncles a set of crocheted coasters and painted mugs. Been having a blast but Im thinking I might get myself a ceramic pen, Ive heard it lasts longer than paints which is what I usually use

I've been wanting to get myself one of those as well. My brother-in-law is a coffee nut, like I am, but hard to do the handmade thing for, because he's kind of serious. I'm going to buy him some locally roasted coffee and make him a mustache mug, like the ones that were on the HHC 2009 board last year: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=285555.msg3455469#msg3455469

Looking for Mccalls 6337 sewing pattern, if you have a copy you'd be willing to share/give/sell please let me know.  The bag costs $60 and I think perhaps I could make it cheaper/

I wasn't trying to make them reversible but now that you mention it, that might be super cute Smiley
