A cockroach in the hand...

I'm a little disturbed with the turn my craftiness has taken...  However, I guess its only natural to craft a cockroach when you work for a pest control company! 



As you can see he is pretty big even for an American cockroach!



Maybe he's so big because he ate all of my daughter's lunch?



Here he is skittering across my computer.



And last but not least a rear view.  Hopefully you can see the color pattern on his pronotum a little bit better here as well as the veining in his wings.  He also has some hairs on his legs but I don't know how well that shows up in the pictures.

Not really sure what I'm going to do with this guy.  Maybe use him as a pincushion.  I thought about naming him Carl the Cockroach but one of the guys I work with is named Carl... Just doesn't seem right.

I hate roaches, but you did a great job on it. Good enough that I could identify it as a cockroach, and not quite so realistic that I started getting itchy. 

As for names, there Clyde, Cody, Cameron, Christopher, Cory....

can't say that I've ever seen a cockroach in person (thank god!) but this is very realistic. I think you should name him Clive

gotta say...this CREEPS ME OUT!!! its so realistic - im very impressed with your skills!! ive never encountered an american cockroach, but after being in thailand for a few months, i am very au fait with their bugs. and after a while they just dont bother you. however if i saw one this big i would be running as far away as possible with broom in hand!!

seeing as i was born and raised in louisiana and i think our state bird is a cockroach lol i wanna give my two cents... name him ralphie... whenever one got in the house mom and i would argue over who was supposed to take ralphie out for a walk i.e. GET THE ROACH!!! lol you get ralphie... no you! lol so yeah, that's my suggestion
