The wedding was wonderful Smiley

I'm getting married in May (yay Smiley) )

And I decided to make my own dress. Well, not actually a dress, but corset and skirt.
I looked at many dresses, but did not see any that was 'it'. Plus, I'm not a couture seamstress, so something simple would be best.
I started with looking for red fabric, and found this gorgeous raw silk. It already had an interesting structure, so further embellishments were not necessary.
I based the pattern on a previous corset I made, but made the front and back higher. Here are some pics of the process:

When the corset was practically done, I tried it on and took some pictures. I was very pleased. It gave my bust the exact uplift that I wanted :p
But when I saw my back on the pictures I panicked. My top backfat was bulging over the top when I stood up nicely straight. Not what I want to see on my weddingpictures.
And Im more the skinny type, so its not something that would get solved by losing a couple of pounds .. .
So I decided to make a bolero. I did not want to compromise the design of the corset with the pointy fronts, so I made the bolero with this in mind. Im very pleased  Smiley
Of course I couldnt ask my fiance to take pictures so,  I had to put the camera on a stack of books to take pics of the back .

cc are welcome

tnx Smiley I had to start early, although it's still a while, I was already stressing for having it done in time :p
Plus I work full time, so there's not that much  time and energy left to work on crafts.

that is beautiful. The stitching on corset is perfect. You'll look stunning. :-)

I adore this, its absolutely gorgeous. Mind if I ask what pattern you used? Or tutorial? Did you draft it yourself?
