I have been asked to start up a second round of the One for Me, One for You swap - where you pick out a few things that you have had on your crafty to do list and make one for you and one for your partner.   You must make two items - same but different (ya know, different print, color if need be to cover personal tastes of you and your partner) but both items must be the same - so you can't just make like a purse and then turn around and make a pair of pants ya know what I mean - two purses or two pairs of pants... clear as mud?
You send out your partner's item and you keep yours - but you have to make both and you have to take pictures of both!

This is a motivational type of swap.  Last round we did have a few that did not keep up their end of the bargain and didn't bother to make themselves one.  I will reflect it in  your feedback but please keep in mind that you would only be hurting yourself that way.  This is a motivational swap to get you up and crafting something that you have wanted to make (preferably for yourself or an immediate family member)

Is anyone interested?
I'd be able to start up the swap towards the very end of January to early February.

If you would like you can post here... publicly post up your wishful to do list and a list of things you might like to receive and who knows... you might find a perfect match and can get a head start!  I will honor all matches made Smiley

Since I signed up to do the 50 projects craftalong, I'll be watching this to see if there's something I can do.  I'm cutting back on swaps, but I'd love to do this one.

this sounds like a fantastic idea- i always end up wanting to keep the things i make to send out for swaps, and then i sign up for another swap before i get the chance to make another item for myself! i'm not going to have a free slot until midway through february, however Sad maybe i'll just have to watch this round, and hope for round 3...

I think this would be a fun swap, but like annachronism, I won't have a free slot until mid Feb.  Undecided

A mid February start date is more realistic for me to be honest with you - the signups I would start before then though.  My plate overfloweth right now with projects in need of completion - which reminds me - I am about to go work on one of them right now!  I am hoping to get it all done before I go to bed... then I'll be halfway to my deadline!

Is there a link for the original swap?

I'm confused after seeing the last swap- is the idea to name something that we're interested in making, and then somebody claims the item? kind of like sweat shop swaps?

I have never done the sweat shop swaps.  My thought when I did the swap last time was for people to list the things that they have been wanting to make but never seem to have the time to make for themselves... and then put up a small wish list (that people added to once they started seeing what others were wanting to make) and then I matched people up as best as I could so that they were able to make something that they wanted to make and send to someone who would love to get it... I'm not sure if that makes sense.

It worked out really great last round and I think everyone was happy to get things that they wanted and nearly everyone was able to make something that they had on their to do list  Smiley

My sentiments exactly, pinokeeo!
