Hi! My name is Leigh-Ann, and I turned 24 on Jan 3rd.
I'm a single mom, I live with my parents, my little sister (when she is here), my dog Berkshire and my son Levi who is 2.5. We are in Florida so its hot here most of the time! I'm in college to become a teacher, and I make kids stuff which I sell. I love getting stuff in the mail for my son, seeing him happy makes me happy!
I sew all the time, but love to try other crafts as well (I’ve done some jewelry, poly clay, painting, soap making, and just got a Yudu!). I can't do anything with yarn, I always try and then end up with a mess.
Things I like
– my son, fabric, the beach, reading, travel, animals, summer, bright colors, trying new crafts, batik, anything environmentally friendly or ‘Crunchy’, things that smell good (favs are pink sugar, baby powder, vanilla, anything tropical), vegetarian stuff, anything colorful, teaching/kids, kids books, the ocean, underwater, dolphins.
Things I don’t like-
pastel colors, camouflage print, things that smell like my grandma (super flowery, strawberry, watermelon, musk etc.), leather, feathers, vintage, most jewelry, too much floral, guns, gold, ‘characters’ (TV/movie etc) anything that might not be appropriate for a 2yr old to see.
I am very allergic to smoke of all types, and I am vegetarian

Hey fellow January babies and swappers
You'll have to forgive me I'm rather loopy, I just got my wisdom teeth cut out today (so I'm on teh hydros and pumping jello through an IV!) and after I typed this whole thing, I lost it. So here's to starting again!
My name's Brittany, and I turn 19 on the 17th. I was in college for nursing, but I dropped for the semester because I've always wanted to be a paramedic when I "grow up". Right now I'm finishing a CNA course, but in a couple weeks I'll be retaking my EMT class and hopefully signing on with the fire dept. in my small town in Idaho. But, until then, I'm continuing my job of 2.5 years at McDonalds. I'm an avid World of Warcraft player, I have a Draenei priest that I raid with, and a Night Elf Hunter for outletting my DPS anger.
Things I love: white water rafting, cooking (trying to at least), my constant-PMSy cat Santana, planning for the zombie apocalypse, knitting, crocheting, cross stitching, gardening, anything recycled, being eco-friendly, handspun/handmade yarn (even though I won't venture into it, I'm scared!), scrapbooking, working with polymer clay (I taught a kids class at my college for 6 years over the summers), going for long drives in my arrest-me-red '90 Chevy Camaro (he's mah baby), The Beatles, Bob Dylan, Elvis, tie-dye, pomegranates...etc!
I just started a wist, but I'm trying to add to it daily:
www.wists.com/omg_healz
Crafted Items
(My favorite colors are green and brown. If you need any measurements, just ask!)
~Homemade body scrubs or soaps
~White things to tie-dye, I'd like to try out a scarf or gloves
~Things on my wist, despite how small ^.^
~An apron, I always get so messy when I'm
burning down the apartment
cooking! I like anything simple, ruffles are nice but not necessary.
~
'Home is where the hearthstone is' plaque for above the kitchen sink or something. Design is on teh wist. My roommate and I are both WoW'ers.
Thanks juliminusthee! <3
~Fake flowers are my trademark at McDonalds, I love find fun unique ones for my hair
~Anything for my cat Santana. She needs her own bed so I can have mine back, but small toys or things to keep her entertained are useful.
~Anything relating to zombies, first aid, or paramedicine
~Crochet hook roll,
or something to hold my abundant supply of knitting needles
Thanks 6iggle! <3
~I really like Invader Zim, its an old cartoon from my childhood. I'd like a Gir amigurumi, I've never seen amigurumi until quite recently or knew what it was. He needs to watch over the cupcakes in my kitchen.
~I'd loooooove a fleece laptop sleeve, with any theme I've mentioned
Supplies
~Plastic shopping bags! I can never get enough. I cut them, tie them into yarn, and crochet or knit with them to recycle them.
~A pair or two of round knitting needles
~Recycled Sari silk yarn. I have an unhealthy obsession with this. I buy from darngoodyarn.com
~
Tie-dye...I normally buy single packets of color from Joanns, whatevers cheap and catches my eye
Thanks 6iggle! <3
~Scrappin' paper...I went through my stash doing a book for my parents, so anything cheap or spare is appreciated
~Funky pendents or beads for my hemp jewelry
Extrees
~Minty gum is nice...I quit smoking a while ago, and replaced my addiction with chewing ^.^
~Hot cocoa...I mix it with tons of things (mmm liquid courage!) and I like any form of milk chocolate, please no marshmallows
~Mmm, tea! I love raspberry hibiscus, any form of green tea, peppermint...good luck finding something I won't drink!
(Now I'm feeling rather woozy from the pain meds, I'm gonna head to bed...I'll add anything I happen to remember later on
)

Hi my name is Dawn. I’ll be the big 3 0 on the 16th. I’m having a hard time with it. I live in Kingston, Ontario Canada. I’m married to my college sweetheart for almost 4 years now. We’re trying for baby number one. Hopefully we will soon be blessed. I work for Michaels, I know ... I know it’s like an alcoholic working in the liquor store. Needless to say I am well stocked for supplies.
I’m really laid back. I’m a t shirt and jeans kinda girl. I love pink, i’m not even sure why I think it’s because I was a tom boy when I was little. I am NOT at all now I am girly girly girly. I love to sew and crochet. I dabble in poly clay and for Christmas, My mother in law booked a workshop for all the girls to do some glass work, and I’m probably the most excited. I have a short attention span though, so I like to do small crafts, or quick crafts. I love to make baby stuff so my best friend and her little boy benefit from that.
I love to read and watch trashy HBO shows (true blood)when I’m not crafting. My husband and I watch How I met your mother and its probably the funniest show on tv. I also love the big bang theory, numbers, and bones too. Both my husband and I are huge nerds, he happens to be a gaming nerd and makes me play halo and left 4 dead, which I really don’t mind.
Crafts
Anything from my Wist.
Knitted wrist warmer thingys.
A “fangtasia” t shirt from true blood
Full apron in a cute retro fabric
Knitted socks in any colour
Resin/ glass jewelry
Gender neutral baby stuff ( you know for when it happens)
Nature inspired coasters for living room in moss greens or blues
Embroidery, in black and white or blues and greens
Headbands I have very fine hair ... about shoulder length
Handmade soaps body washes scrubs etc .... I prefer fruity scents
Supplies
No such thing as too much fabric or yarn
Embossing powders for rubber stamping
Kit for learning embroidery
Anything with cupcakes
Can always use rubber stamps and punches of all kinds
Books for poly clay, sewing, embroidery, crocheting
Extras
Big fan of flakies
Eatmore chocolate bars.
Anything regional that I may not get here.
teas bagged or loose
nailpolish any colour
your best quick and easy dinner recipes
Thanks everyone and HAAAAPPPPPY BIRTHDAY

Hi, my name is Paulina!
I’ll be turning twenty-teen on January 23rd. I can’t make up my mind on how to celebrate my birthday, so I most likely won’t do anything big. I’m currently in school studying Visual Arts, and also working towards my education degree so I can be a Highschool Teacher. I always look on the brightside of things, and I am completely indecisive about everything. I’m really easy going, and appreciate the little things in life. Dr.Suess is my inspiration, and I find giraffes to be intriguing animals.
Themes
panda, pigs, unicorns, giraffes, zebras, fantasy, medieval, Disney, Dr.Seuss, purples, blues, grays, visual arts, being a teacher, teaching, learning, travelling, cutesy, Avatar-movie, environmental activist, giving back to the community, being positive
I’m really easy going. To be honest, the below list is just a guideline, I just love getting stuff in the mail!
Oh! And I’m in
Ontario, Canada
.
Wishes
-**something in my above themes, that is crafted in your specialty!**
-Anything on my Wists
http://www.wists.com/paulinaa/
-Something I can put in my classroom when I (eventually) get out there n be a teacher
-Any jewellery, necklace, bracelets, rings, earrings
-Tote bag, embellished however you like
-An 8-ball/ decision maker/ yes-no-maybe dice/ something along those lines to help me decide things. (I’m completely indecisive about everything lol)
-Knitted/Crocheted hats (beanies, slouched, ideas in my wists!)
-Knitted/Crocheted mittens/ fingerless gloves in beige/gray
-Polymer clay jewelry- necklaces, earrings, cellphone charms, hair clips
-Handmade pencil case/ wallet to add to my obsession !
-Something to organize my necklaces and bracelets (they always get tangled!)
-Embellished notebook/journal
-A rabbit stuffy. I’ve wanted a rabbit for the past 2 years, but never had a chance to adopt one.
-A giraffe stuffy. I don’t know why giraffe, I just think they look so odd HAHA
-A cotton sleeping mask
-A stereotypical sock monkey (always wanted one as a child!)
-A camera bag
Supplies
-Scrapbooking/ Altered Art materials: paper, stamps, stamp pads, jewels, stickers, embellishments etc.
-Sharpies, Anything Prismacolour (love that brand!)
-interfacing
-any fabric you don’t want
Extras
-Cookies! (i’m also open to your best baked goods!
)
-Teas! (love trying new flavours)
-ATC’s/ inchies
-Any Jazz cds/a song list - I’ve recently discovered the amazingness that is Jazz, and would love some recommendations!

My name is Roberta (or Berta for short). I live in Tacoma, WA, USA, though I was born and raised in Anchorage, AK, and still claim it as home. I just turned 28 on the 5th. Didn't do anything super exciting, a dinner out with my boyfriend and a friend, and some West Coast Swing dancing.
By day, I originate mortgages - if you need a home loan in Washington, hit me up! The rest of my time I spend cooking (I make all our bread from my own starter, gave 30 jars of apple butter for christmas presents, *love* making hot creamy steamy casseroles, etc.), tending to our pet tarantulas (almost 70 of them, and two mommas sitting on egg sacks!) and roach colonies (hissers and turkistans), and crafting of all sorts. I sew, quilt, spin, crochet, and dabble in just about everything else that I come across. I also dance West Coast Swing, as mentioned above (a very different, less famous variety of swing from the East Coast kind that everyone's used to) and try very hard at rock climbing, though I'm not very good.
My dream for the near-ish future is to buy some acreage in the country and eke out a happy little subsistence lifestyle with goats and gardens and all that sort of thing. My boyfriend is a talented carpenter who would very much like to build us a cozy little log home and all the things to go in it. Sadly, for the time being, that's just a day dream.
Things to know: I'm vegetarian, I don't have pierced ears, I love earth and jewel tones - especially greens and blues, I like spiders, mammoths, goats, and sloths, I'm not allergic to anything that I know of...
For my birthday, I'd be happy to receive just about anything, but the following items are sure to please:
Crafts:
-a portrait of my man and me together in your medium of expertise - I can email you plenty of pictures if you're interested in fulfilling this one
-set of 6 placemats for my dining room table - you can get a vague idea of the colors in my dining/living room here:
http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?pid=3264063&l=96ea6704be&id=500335336
-framed wall art - embroidered, painted, collaged, etc. I especially like organic/natural shapes and themes, or cheerily surreal images.
-hand-dyed fiber
-custom-carded batts of fiber blends for spinning
-anything from or inspired by my wists (also gives you an idea of my tastes) :
http://www.wists.com/BertaBerta
-a tarantula or three-toed sloth necklace (silver metal bits)
-decorated hair sticks - I wear my hair put up with a stick almost every day and would love something unique
-a custom shoe-bag for my dance shoes - needs to close up somehow, and have at least one pocket for gum and my handkerchief
Supplies:
-acrylic worsted yarn in a variety of colors (I'm plotting for a crazy granny-square afghan)
-fat quarters of fabrics that seem to fit my tastes (or that are just cool)
-quilting templates
-fibers for spinning
-acrylic craft paints
-medium or large artificial leaves (I use them in tarantula enclosures)
-cool beads to add to my stash
Misc/Extras:
-tarantula spiderlings
-almond roca
-fancy coffees
-delicious vegetarian recipes
I'm excited! Thanks in advance Craftsters

My name is Nikita. I just turned 27 on Jan 14. I live in Houston, TX (USA) but am originally from Cleveland, OH (as native Texans say, I'm a Yankee). I live with my husband Scott aka DevilMan and our cute calico kitty Lady Chaos aka Miss Kitty or Girlie Girl. Hehe, if you pet the top of her head, her ears flatten out and she looks like a Mogwai (for those Gremlins fans)!
I currently work an ok hourly job, but strive to be a full-time small business owner. I love
sci-fi, horror, anime (hentai included) and fantasy
and hope to open a retail store/gallery in the future catering to those interests. Midian is my crafty business name and will also be my store name. Stained glass has been my primary interest for a few years now. You might also find me (craft-wise) playing in Photoshop, x-stitching, making some yarn falls, silk-screening, glass etching/painting, making chainmaille or learning a new craft. I also like to read (I devour books like a demon), watch cheesy horror movies (Nightbreed/Cabal is a fav-hence Midian) and rock out.
New crafts I'd like to learn:
knit
, crochet, embroidery, polymer clay.
**Please NO: floral (except asian inspired), pastels, day of the dead**
Crafts:
** some type of scratching post or something Lady Chaos can do her upright clawing on
** skirt crinoline (the puffy tulle thing that goes under skirts to make it fluffy, hubby said it's crinoline but i can't remember): in black, red, purple, blue or neon pink
** salt facial/body scrub (we like the apricot scrub or Lush's ocean salt scrub, so something similar would be cool)
** full length window curtains (black, red, skull/devil prints, whatever you think would look cool :we like punky, industrial looks)
** throw pillows (black, red, skull/devil prints, whatever you think would look cool :we like punky, industrial looks)
** chainmaille or popcan tab bikini (i don't have enough of either to make one)
** something with Midian logo (patch, tshirt, hoody, etc)
** Kuroneko (or some other cute cat) plush, pillow or bag
Thanks Phnxreign99!
** Felicia or Morrigan sculpture/figure (Darkstalkers/Capcom)
** wall art in any medium (theme: devil, demon, devilkat, funky cat, dragon, monster, asian-inspired)
** band (tshirt, tank top, jacket, corset or skirt): Social Distortion, Iron Maiden, Dropkick Murphys, Danzig, Slayer, Gwar
** art (tshirt, tank top, jacket, corset or skirt) :any style dragon, asian or celtic inspired, halloween, cute and or scary(devil, demon, vamp, zombie), punk/metal/psychobilly themes
** movie or series (tshirt, tank top, jacket, corset or skirt):any clive barker, tim burton, zombie related, darkstalkers, zombie loan, bleach, naruto, hellsing, evil dead/army of darkness, trigun, g1 transformers/beast machines/beast wars
** I'm straight edge, so any cool poisonXfree art (with or w/o poisonxfree in it)
** cat bed: something soft/fluffy. she likes laying on me, anything soft or boxes. would hope a bed would replace the boxes.
** some type of little mailbox or mail holder
Thanks to Troublet for the bday surprise!
Supplies:
* acrylic paints
* paint brushes
* knitting needles (have sz 7,9,10,11)
* polymer clay (sculpey or fimo)
* embroidery floss:any color
* neat sewing patterns
* yarn:any kind welcome, but if you have thick/thin, thick/soft, funky colors..
* fabrics: asian themed, halloween, furry, faux leather, animal print, solid colors
* any how to

Hi, fellow crafters!
I'm Susan and I'm sitting here listening to the pouring rain in Hawaii, on the island of Oahu. This is our winter - flashflood and giant wave season. I turned 39 on the 4th. I love to work with beads and silver wire. I am learning to sew; just got my new/old Singer 99 fixed in time to explore my new love of poppets!!! I love to read, cook and eat. My 3 year old daughter is hooked on me baking cookies, cupcakes and pies, and my husband and 18 month old daughter are happy reaping the benefits. I dabble in crochet and would love to learn to make handspun yarn!
I dream of flowers and a salad and herb garden, but I need a planter and some seeds. I like simple and useful, with a goal of declutter and organize this year. I'm a modern romantic and like clean lines with bits of richness. I'm trying to Etsy here -
http://www.subringas.etsy.com
and Blog here -
http://www.subringas.com
I don't have allergies but the rest of the fam is allergic to cats/dogs and smoke.
I love earth tones - rusts, olive green, and all the shades of blue from ocean to sky. Yellow, cranberry and purples make great accent colors. Love leaves, flowers , plants, trees. Love the smell of gardenias, peonies, jasmine, plumeria, pears, fig, plum, citrus and cookies. We spend quite a few days at the beach where I love to pick up shells, beach glass and other interesting things. Love paisley, East Indian designs and floral swirls.... but not too much - I don't like anything too visually busy.
