Technically, I'm still working on all of the 12" CALs, except for this one... This is the only one that I have fully completed Tongue

And, if you're a member of Ravelry, they have a 12" CAL going on over there, too. I have all of the yarn and patterns printed, but haven't taken my hook to the task...

This is the only one that I've actually finished (still have 2007, 2008, 2009 left to finish), but I'd love to see what you make! Maybe it'll encourage me to go back and work on some of those other 12" CALs I've got going Wink

I'm piecing what's left of 2007 and 2008 together, when geocities went down it lost a bunch of patterns. I can piece them together, though, and make one big blanket from what's left.

As for 2010, though, I have 4 squares done.  I only have photos of the first 3 though.

Also, I am having SO much trouble with the tulips square. Its coming out insanely warped, and its curling up like I made a basket. Should I add in some extra chain stitches somewhere to give it some give?

tehandehness, I love the colors you're using! And, those blocks look great!

I just went back to check on my tulips square and I didn't have any rippling problems (it was the month before that came out rippled). Can you post a picture of what you have so far and maybe I can see what might be the problem (I can try, at least...).

Thank you! I actually let my dad pick out a lot of my colors. He was a construction worker for 35 years, but he majored in art in college.  He loves to help me pick out yarn and nail polish.  Tongue

Here are some pictures, you can see its curling up like a bowl...

Hmmmm... it's hard for me to tell in the pictures, but do you have the right number of clusters in the second round of clusters? It looks like you only have 7, and I think you should have 8 on each side for a total of 32 clusters. That might throw off your stitch count in the rows after that, which is when it looks like the curling started. It may be that the round 2 rows down (the white round... round 6, I think) is off, which caused round 7 to be off (the green round) making round 8 off (the "tulip" round). Double check your stitch counts on that round- you should have 18 dc on each side (it looks like 16 in the photo).

If none of that is the problem, can you try to flatten it out and take another photo? I wish I had mine here to look at, but it's down in FL.

But, here's the picture of it:

Let me know if any of that helps!

That was actually a huge help.  Grin

It turns out that row 5 was off, which was throwing off everything else! I've frogged back to there and hopefully this will work.

Yay! A terrible picture of a mostly flat tip toe through the tulips!

After I finished this one I ran around to everyone in the house and demanded to know if they could see the flowers.

And I think this is eternal braid. I had to add a LOT of rows to this one to make it 12". I think I did 5 extra?
