Anyone love Man vs Food as much as I do?  Adam is too crazy!  Anyway, the other night the episode where he was at Yoder's was on, an amish restaurant supposedly know for their great pies.  When they put together the peanut butter pie I knew I just had to try it.  After searching for a recipe I got the gist of how to put one together.  I've never made pudding or whipped topping from scratch and didn't feel like making a crust from scratch, add in lazyiness, therefore quick and easy it had to be!  I decided to write up a tutorial while I wait for it to chill.

Please let me know if all steps aren't showing up.  I keep looking at it and at least one step won't show even though all the links are showing when I preview it.

It actually doesn't have an overwhelming peanut butter taste, which I like.  The crunchiness of the chunky style keeps it from being just a mouth full of pudding.  Try it, it's tasty!

It looks yummy, but can it be made from scratch?  Or at least without the cool whip?

Absolutely!  Here is a scratch recipe for the pie.  It doesn't include one for the crust or the whipped topping but here is a baking 911 entry on how to make whipped topping if you're looking for a natural alternative.  Hope this helps!
