Beautiful scarfs.

Good luck CLM.

I was trying to figure out how much stuff I have when I remember I have a bunch of stuff from high school days at my moms.

Inspiration without application is moot.

KLKing, have you considered making a cowl or a hat instead of a scarf?

Thanks for the compliments!

I'm leaving for the cruise on Sunday and am debating on whether or not I should bring another skein to start knitting something else. I'll have to see how much room I have in my suitcase after packing all the necessities first. The good thing about yarn is that you can smoosh it to bits and still be usable.

I think I need to learn to make wallets. They would be useful things that could be made of small fabric scraps. Or I need to find inspiration to start making crazy quilts again.

I made a scrap ribbon wallet yesterday. All from stash. I love finding fun ideas and being able to execute them right away.

Heini, the Teesha Moore fabric journal along might appeal to you, it's a GREAT way to use up scraps and random buttons and beads. Check it out. The fiber fat book project is pretty neat too.

I sold a bunch of things at our yard sale today and donated the rest, it was wonderful to see all that stuff out the door.
I stayed up really late last night ironing a huge batch of fabric scraps that I'll be cutting out tonight for specific projects. I find fabric so much easier to deal with when it's ready to sew, just take it out and go! Plus that way I know exactly what I've got and what it's for. No more unspecified supplies hanging around, I hope to have everything made before we move and well in time for a holiday craft show. Ambitious, I know but I'm determined.
I went through my mending box and got rid of a bunch of stuff in there too, things I've had for so long that they aren't my style anymore so why bother to fix or alter them. Next up is the box of clothes for my daughter, some won't fit her next season so they're gone too.
I've got pictures of larger furniture items ready to list online too, fingers crossed I get some bites for the big stuff as I really want it gone and could so use the money.
My sister has her junk stored in a cubby here and she's coming this week to finally take it away. That's tucked away where I don't see it but still, it'll be good not to have to worry about it closer to moving date.

I think I'm making pretty spectacular progress. In fact, I'm fairly amazed. I'll be even happier when I've got this crafty stuff under the needle too, that will be so incredibly rewarding after all this grunt work, I just can't wait!

I am destashing some of my blue yarn by making a baby sack. I will use some white for detail work as well. I am making it up as I go along. I hope it turns out sweet.

Thanks craftylittlemonkey. Those books look great and my kind of craft project. I think I could make a book for my friend's baby if I didn't use any buttons or other things that she could swallow.

This week I knitted and felted a pair of mittens. They were supposed to be my super warm winter mittens, but they're too big. I don't know why I followed medium size instructions because I have really small hands. Luckily my spouse is small handed man, so they were good for him. I have some yarn left and I think it will be enough for another pair.
