Always... Yor knitting is georgeous! I love your style. I think warm earthy colors are for the house, and bright colors are for the wearing! I love reds and purples too!
The white pillow, is it knitted  all in one piece? It looks like the grain goes in both directions.
That's a lot of work to send off for a swap, Don't you want to keep some of it? LOL!
Well, I'm off to finish off my PIECE for the jewelry challenge. I hope I have half a chance, as late as it is!

Thanks...The large pillow is done with a basketweave stitch--8 rows garter, 8 rows stockingnette...here is a closer picture of it...the brown pillow was the challenge--it is a pattern that you have to think about so I could not watch tv while doing it... Cheesy

I love to give stuff in a swap...if I kept everything I made, it would overwhelm my house!  I loved my fellow mod swapper, stifflersmom...it was important for me to do my best for her!

I have no idea why I love to knit in earthy colors!

Probably explains why I have no knitted items for myself...I tend to like and wear very bright colors like red and purple! Cheesy

Thank you for your kind words.

Have I mentioned how bad working at an art materials company is for de-stashing?  Well, I entered a logo contest at work and I was just handed a bag of stuff and a gift certificate as a consolation prize.  I now have more watercolor paint, 3 tubes of oil paint, more pastels, more markers, another spiral bound sketch pad, more brushes, and $10.00 to spend on more artsy/craftsy stuff.  I'm thinking most of this will be used by my daughter for her 4H visual arts projects and her Manga obsession, but since our stash is mostly shared it still qualifies as adding to my stash.  Oh well, at least I didn't buy it!

Cheesy people have no idea that they are just adding fuel to the fire when they give us MORE supplies!  Congrats to your added stash...I think! ha ha

Yeah--a friend at work gave me three skeins of yarn that she no longer wanted...I asked her if I could swap some with her and she said "No, I am destashing!"...uh, hello, so am I!!!

(but, of course, I took it.....  Cheesy )

Of course!  Your friend has way too much self-discipline.  No way I can pass up freebies.  I tend to lie to myself and tell myself they are for someone else Grin

I must admit... I'll never pass up freebies! And, Guess what... At the Doc's office this morning, I was taliking about my necklace with the sharks tooth, and an elderly lady..
Well, she asked me if I wanted some more sharks teeth. She said she has a whole box of them. And, she'd give them to me. Then, another lady spoke up, and somehow she offered me a box of 100 vintage patterns from the 40's and 50's. So, they both got my card.
I managed to say... "I'll take any sewing supplies off your hands."
I figure it this way... There's no fault if you get it for free, and you put it to use. In this case those patterns are going to be posted "Somewhere".

yeah one friend i gave a lot of stuff to, and she said "why are you giving things away?  are you going to die?" we are the same age (late 30's) and not particularly planning on dying anytime soon.
