I don't know where I saw it, but I saw a photo of a bag made entirely from zippers.  Does anyone know anything about one of these?
Thanks!

Ooh I know.  It was in the last issue of Ready Made.  I liked it so I tried one and it was easy.

AH HA!

I kept looking on the web to find a picture and didn't know where I had seen it.  Thanks a lot--I'll have to look at the magazine when I get home and try to figure it out!

I can see how making two panels of zippers sewn together would be easy, but how about the side seams?

Do you have a picture of yours?

My sister has it but I'll take pics of it and post em this weekend when I see her.

I made it with 14" zippers and folded them in half so each side was like 7inches long then  I only had to sew up one side.  I did it all on a sewing machine except for the side seams but that was because I hand sewed while watching a movie.  But I think for the most part the side seams would be fine through the maching.

On a seperate note while making that I was inspired to do a bracelet.  (well actually I told my sister and she made one)  but it's three bracelets wide with 7" zipper and material sewn on the back so it's an awesome zipper pouch bracelet thing.  Oh and it's reversible so you can wear it either way.
I'll post that this weekend too.

oh you shouldn't feel bad. we've all talked about how it's nearly impossible to find an original thing in this world. there was a thing on these in the winter readymade - i think that's what inspired them here, but like most crafts, everybody's turns out a little different. i would love to see yours!!

Ha. I burned my bagel reading your kind words.  Thanks.  and I know I know. It wasn't really origninal to begin with because I thought of it while trying to do the bag in ready made.
I just had visions that my zipper bracelet would rocket me to craftster fame.  Grin (not really)
Ok off to eat my bagel....

Even though this thread is just about five years old, I'm still going to voice my upsettiness. I just got a bag of zipper samples and made a bracelet about a week ago. I'm bummed!

As a wise old beetle once said, "There's nothing you can do that can't be done". And it has been! Hah, oh well. I can't see any of the pictures so I'll just hope mine looks a bit different.
