I know that there has been a lot of pin cushions posted, so bear with me lol. I'm pretty proud of the one that I made and felt like sharing it.

I'm not sure if the glass base I used for mine was supposed to be a votive candle holder, a bud vase or just what it was supposed to be. I've had it among my craft supplies for years just because I loved the shape and couldn't bring myself to part with it.

It now has a new purpose in life and I love it. Cheesy

This is the first pin cushion I've made and definitely won't be the last I'm sure. I even tried my hand and writing up a tutorial for it on my blog.

Thanks for looking!

thank you. yes it is glass. thanks for the word of caution though. so far it's primarily more decorative, i toss the pins in a plastic container with a magnet in it while sewing lol.

Very cute idea!

I would use it to hold my needles since I am a mess while sewing! I toss my pins onto the table and then have to gather them up with my magnetic pin holder!

I also save cute shaped glass jars with no lids...I will have to try this--thanks for posting!
