I've pierced this design from acrylic many times, but I decided to try out a smaller version in steel.  Smiley It is laser cut, filed, and completed with a hand brushed (I went semi-coarse) finish. This is nearly half the size of the original; it's 2 inches (50mm). I love the larger version also, but this little one is cute for jeans and tees when you don't necessary want a statement necklace. Smiley I've decided to wear it extra long on gunmetal chain, maybe threading three different chains through the jump ring (like two cables and a rolo).

The whole difference between construction and creation is exactly this: that a thing constructed can only be loved after it is constructed; but a thing created is loved before it exists-Dickens

Wow. So pretty. Makes me think of this urban legend about a lady with a beehive hairdo that turned out to be full of spiders. I love it.
