This is amazing, way cuter than a real murloc, which in my opinion is an improvement. Those things give me the heebiejeebies. I happen to have the murloc call as my message tone. And I do a mad murloc impersonation. Basically get a little saliva or even water in your mouth and say lol lol lol lol over and over, but make your l's sort of like r's and roll them so that you gargle your water or spit or whatever. It sounds amazing if you do it right....
Anyways, enough of that, any chance of a tutorial? I know like fifty thousand people who would love one for their birthday.

Bwahaha I can totally picture such a murloc impression...
I'll see what I can do for a tutorial, though it may take me some time.

LOL that's adorable!  You should make him one of those little throwing spears they always have.  I might have to "borrow" this idea for my bf's birthday, as he loves murlocs . . . and I'm pretty sure I don't have the real life tailoring at grand master level, so attempting to sew a troll hunter . . . yeah, not so much Wink

Soap is a 4-letter word.

It's true, the murloc was remarkably easy to sew once I got going... I was considering making a tiny top hat for him lol
I'm *this close* to having my tutorial ready, I just need a couple more nap times. Unfortunately, my son's routine is all messed up, so nap time is a little hard to come by lately. But soon! Oh yes, soon...MWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA...!

ACK! I was just thinking you should make him a little top hat!!!

Definitely adorable. And "birdiedoggie" sounds a little bit like how the murlocs talk anyway so maybe it would be a good name. I wonder if your son is getting into the WoW plague too....hmmmm

Oh I hope not lol he's not even two yet! Currently, he's all about Yoda... I'm not sure if I should take that as a good sign or not hahaha

Hey look, I finally made a tutorial!
Sorry for the delay...and hopefully it makes sense! Just ask if you have any questions.
This was how I made the original murloc. I didn't/don't have an actual pattern, so I'm doing my best to teach you how to make your own the way I did!

Here's the murloc outline, if you'd like to just use this one:

Thank you for your interest! I'd love to see your results, should you chose to make an attempt...

THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!!  I can't wait to start making these cute little guys!  I think I'll fill some w/flaxseed and give them to some little boys.  I think little kids would like the idea of cuddling up to something soft and warm!  You rock!!!  P.S.  I understand about how having kids can cut into your crafting time.  My only free crafting time is when my boys are at school Smiley  E.
