Tutorial added, it's on Page 2!For Christmas this year, I made a lot of things... 59 decorative mustaches, a few adorable plush bunnies, and this...
My partner has a few nerdy obsessions in life. Star wars, Bruce Campbell, and World of Warcraft are among them.
Naturally, I try to make him things themed after on of these obsessions, and this year it was World of Warcraft.
For those who have managed to avoid the plague of WoW, and therefore don't know what a murloc is, it's... um... an annoying fish-like creature that runs at you making a distinct "MRGRGULRGRGRLLGRGRL" kind of noise. Does not translate well to writing...heh...
Somehow, as annoying as this creature is, one tends to develop a certain fondness for them after a while.
To make this murloc, I used fleece and flannelet. The eyes are buttons, and inside the hands and feet are pipe cleaners. Makes him just a little flexible. Unfortunately, my partner has not yet named him... if he doesn't hurry, I'm sure our son will step up and name him something weird like "birdiedoggie" (one of his favorite words/sentences) lol
The entire murloc is hand sewn, and roughly the size of a mutated football. I had no pattern, I just kind of winged it... Took me somewhere around 12 hours from start to finish.
I was going to stuff the top fins, but liked how they kind of ended up looking like hair while left rough.
Anyway, on to the pictures!

Thank you for looking! Questions, comments, and rants about llamas are appreciated
