Let's go again! Who doesn't need/love/want to make MORE Dotees.

For the uninitiated, a dotee is a small doll with a personality, face, loop for hanging and sometimes a tail, a story and/or a theme. The doll should be
3 - 6" in length and can be made from any medium - fabric, clay, wire, yarn or something we haven't thought of yet.

Oh man. More dotees. I'm trying to avoid swaps though. The shipping just adds up so much on them, especially being in Canada. Shipping these guys usually isn't too bad though.

I love these little guys. I have them hanging in random places all over my apartment. They're so cute and totally make me smile. And they're tons of fun to make.

I'll defiantly think about joining.

C'mon spicy - it's just not the same without you! Can you collect soda cans or something to help with the postage?

I have a big jar and I throw all my change into it. When swap time rolls around, I go to the grocery store and drop all those nickels and dimes into the Coinstar machine - whoo hoo!

Also, another tip for saving - I buy bubble envelopes at the dollar store (now the $1.50 store here in San Francisco). I can usually get 3 or 4 in a package...

YEEEEEESSSSSSS! I'm so excited! I've been wanting to do paper dotees for a while, so I think I'm going to try those this time. (Maybe in the size of an ATC with inchie sized tails....hmmmmm) Very excited!

I just looked through some of the galleries -- these dolls are awesome!  I really want to join but have never made one before.  I think I might go off and try my hand at it -- if it comes out decently I will join

Awww...I love dotee dolls. I wish I had joined Craftster sooner. I was always seeing great posts from this site (via stumble upon), but just joined about two weeks ago.

How often do you have new rounds?

Hmmm, I've been taking a swapping break, and have never done dotees, but they always are so tempting.  But alas, I'm unemployed at the moment, and am not sure I could swing it.  I'll keep my eye on the thread though!

I was always seeing great posts from this site (via stumble upon), but just joined about two weeks ago.

If you post a few more times, we can talk about this being your first swap. You're supposed to be a member for at least one month - will the last day of sign-ups make it for you? And I do these swaps about every two months so next time if you can't fit it in this time.

The groups are usually four people - so you make three dolls and receive three dolls.
One in a blue moon, there is an uneven amount of people and I will ask if one group would like to be bigger. The last 3 or 4 swaps that I have hosted, it has worked out in groups of four, some US-only and some groups sending North America and/or internationally.

Join us - it's fun! The postage for each doll is about $2., that's the postage and the DC#.
