this dress was my final project for my pattern drafting class. I basically sewed it all together in one night, I wish i didnt have to rush it, because it could have been much better, but im happy with it, i think its cute. also it was one of my first times working with chiffon, its pretty tricky, and also unravels easily.  but yay

back

I tea dyed the lace

*EDIT*
I went and took pictures today of the dress on myself, as you ladies asked :-) hope you enjoy. Thank you so much for the comments.

So pretty!  Is pattern drafting difficult?
Love the lace detailing.

I love that you used the holes in the edging to lace up the ties! What a fun detail!

Cute dress with a lot going on!

Wow!  Such detail work and clever design!  I love the idea of using lace to tie up the front, very smart.  I was so impressed I looked over your past posts - I especially loved the blue polka-dot dress (very cool mash-up of 2 dresses, nice work!).  I hope you post more stuff, very inspiring!
