felt 'painting'

heres a nice big piece of felt, that has a colourful detail on it.
i really love it, it took ages and ages, and its finally ready. it was supposed to be a big pillow, but i love it just as a wall hanging






i would like to try sell this piece, but im not sure how to price it, as ive never sold any felt piece like this before (*usually i sell hats). any advice on a price would be very appreciated!

That is really lovely! I could see it as a pillow, but if it were mine I'd hang it. No clue what something of that nature would sell for. Maybe search on etsy?

It's a beautiful piece. What kind of paint did you use, and did you use a fabric medium? If you didn't use fabric paint or medium with your paint I would probably use it for a wall hanging for fear of it not holding up well to being handled. I would pay $40 US but if it were mine I would try to get $75 US. I love it! Thanks for sharing.

sewbead- its just coloured wool over plainish wool background. called it a painting as i dont know hoe else to call it, it looks like one to me you see. needle and wetfelted together

 Wow! I think I would still use it on the wall. That's fantastic! I have no idea what you could get for it. I guess it depends on how much you think it's worth.

Great felt!  Did you use yarn for the outlines?


I've sold wetfelted wallhangings, and priced smaller/less detailed pieces at $60+ and sold them easily at the local guild sale. I'd price it aggressively, if I were you, especially given the size and complexity, and keep the "painting" label.
