i made pants again!
they're basically some sort of mock up for "real" pants i've had in my mind for quite some time.
they will be made of jeans fabric and have big  pockets above the pleats on the side.

for now, i'm very happy with the construction. i made the pattern myself and it consists of just one part. plus 3 rectangles for cuffs (?) and waistband.
the cuffs (?) make the pants wide in the legs without touching the floor AND i can wear them shorter if i move the cuff-things up to my knees
there's no seams on the inside of the legs, i think that's great for pyjama pants.
and the're wide, but because of the pleated part, the usual bulk of fabric is NOT between the bed and my hips when i watch tv/want to sleep

front

the "excuse the dirty mirror and the crappy pictures in general … i was home alone" shot

and worn as 3/4 length pants

the pattern is kitschy, but i love that fabric. it's so soft and everything … and it was just 2€ per metre

thank you for looking,
i'd love to hear what you think about this project

a crafty new year to all of you! Cheesy

To be honest I can't quite picture them made out of denim but they are SUPER cute.  They look very very comfy and I like that you can adjust them lenght wise, very handy.  I would definately buy a pair for lounging.

Oo, I really like these!  I love the pleated portion.  I can totally picture them as khaki colored or some sort of brown (perfect for adventures...random mind association, sorry).

Thank you for the nice comments!

i just started the denim version, we'll see how it will work out  Cool
i use navy blue denim (looks dyed rather than "real" denim), so far it looks good. i still have to figure out the pockets and how the adjustable leg thing could work out without elastic.
i hope i will finish it soon!

Good luck with the jeans. Hope you can post the pics! I, too, love the gathering on the side. I think the jeans will look great!
