I love love LOVE firecracker red glaze, and the black swirls really make the glaze color pop.  I have been on a soap dish making kick:



This one is handbuilt from light brown stoneware clay.  I took a swirly stamp and impressed it into the slab before slumping over a form. Then it was easier to glaze and add the detail.  I added feet too:



And with a bar of my handmade soap for an action shot:

I MISS POTTERY *wailing and knashing of teeth*  Your pretty things make me even more determined to move to a big city and find a studio where I can do this again!  (Took 2 classes in college, got addicted.)

I found a studio I never knew existed and it's only 10 minutes from my house!  So look around, you never know.   Cheesy
