While we are waiting for partnering, does anyone want to share what their all time favorite books are?

My List- 1) The Giver 2) Brave New World 3) If You Give a Mouse a Cookie

Basically I love books centered around alternate societies and I love children's books

I am also a fan of coffee table books. Anyone read "Un-useless Japanese Inventions"? It's really humorous.

I LOVE the entire Ender's Game series! OMG it's amazing. I also love The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, and Harry Potter. Eva by Peter Dickinson. I like reading science fiction, fantasy and adventure. I really HATE reading romance, (actually I only read Harry Potter fanfic romance [Hermione and Draco all the way!], but they usually have a really awesome plot).

Hmmm, I don't read a lot of fiction so these may see uninteresting. At the moment, these are my top three reads:
1. I Say a Prayer for Me, an autobiography,
2. The Principles and Power of Vision by Myles Munroe,
3. The Color Purple.

The only purpose of the day job is to buy the craft supplies!! Cheesy  Seriously, I LOVE making personalized crafts. I now have a line of hand-crafted fans and notecards using the Zentangle (R) technique. I have also become a Certified Zentangle Teacher and teach other artforms and techniques.

How do you all manage to pin down a favourite so specifically? I have so many books that I have really enjoyed , and can't think of them all right now- but I almost always read about three books at a time, and choose what I feel like reading that day depending on my mood. I generally have one fiction, one non-fiction and one children's book going at the same time. I homeschool one of my sons, and the children's books we read together are AWESOME!! I often enjoy them just as much as my own books!

Do not go where the path might lead - go instead where there is no path and
leave a trail.

I had a hard time choosing a favorite as well.

I have a hard time getting into romance ones too. I think that goes hand in hand with chick-flicks. I guess mentally I am too much of a dude to fall for that stuff. If any of the "romantic moments" happened in real life to me I would roll on the floor laughing at how corny it was. Nothing against you romance people  Wink

I do however become a little obsessed with couples in shows though (not for the romance factor though, more like the tension and such). Like Cory & Topanga(Boy Meets World), Ross & Rachel (Friends), House and Cuddie (House)...ect.

Anyways, back to books... I have to admit I don't read novels very often as I am just extremely picky with them. I do however read The Giver over and over again, back to back. I need a lot of bookmarks for my other books though!

I'll read almost anything I can get my hands on, and would find it impossible to narrow it down to three books!

I'll even confess to reading a Mills and Boon when rained in at my Aunt's house one day.  Embarrassed
It was worth it for the awfulness!
