Okay, here are some photos. I did NOT do all of the work. My husband did most of it, cuz he's awesome and cuz someone has to watch the baby. Smiley

Our concrete countertop and tile backsplash: I helped with the pour and we both worked on the grout. I designed the backsplash.

And our sink cabinet- I designed it, hubby built it. It doesn't show well in the photo, but I painted it with milk paint and then antiqued it-- not too heavily. We'll be installing an apron front sink. The color is more of a French blue-- more subdued than the photo. We haven't made the doors yet.

I LOVE my countertops, but I would not recommend pouring in place-- it's really messy, and continues to be messy as you sand/grind it. It wasn't too bad for us, cuz we couldn't use our kitchen anyway.

kwiltykate The beer costumes cracked me up and your little brain slug is adorable.

I finished one more, I'm up to 28 Smiley The chair and ottoman I finished a few months ago and originally I was going to make slip covers for for our two yucky chairs but we found a little cheap couch on sale the other day so I just ended up with throw pillows.

The ottoman needed recovered cause one of our dogs decided to dig a hole in it  Roll Eyes I'm so glad she's out of her evil stage. The chair cushion had some holes (one dog related the others just wear and tear). Oh the ottoman cover is handsewen on, it took soooo long.

Pillows and new red couch (I love red). I was going to make a bolster for the middle cushion but I think it will be too cluttered, not to mention it would be one more pillow to pick up from the floor when I get home.

closure of the gold pillows, had to be resourcefull so I dug through my ribbon box, I always keep all the ribbon scraps that come off of random packaging. I think this one was wrapped around some photoalbums I got for Christmas one year.

lady4feet--what a clever way to finish out your pillows!  Very resourceful and I love the gold and red colors!
