[Yarn or Fabric]

I bought all I need to install my dead bar on my quilting frame - I know, I know, all Greek to you guys unless you have a mid/long arm machine - it's a good thing though!  I'm tickled as I'll be able to cross off another thing on my to do list - install dead bar!  I'm hoping to have it on by the evening   I'll take pictures of my quilt frame when I'm done - and then I'll attach my leaders and then come Sunday I'm going to do my test run quilt!  Yay!!!  Almost a year after I bought my frame I'm FINALLY going to get to use it!!  Woot Woot!  I'm so excited!!!

Oh and I blew faaaaar too much at the fabric store today - founder's day sale.. .I bought a slew of blender fabrics and white on whites since I burn through them like mad.  Hubby is probably going to pop a capillary when he sees that on the credit card statement....  But that's my big splurge for spring.  That will keep me in ludicrous stash for a bit at least.

SharLaMarz, I actually do both   I have a pretty extensive stash (thanks to many great craftsters through several swaps) and I do purchase from thrift stores, eBay, Etsy, and retail stores.  Joann's has gotten these boxes o buttons for $5.99 and they are LOADED with ALL kinds of sizes of buttons.  Shank, shaped, round, all colors...I bought the last 4 boxes I found at the one down the road from me about a month ago with 4 coupons for 40 or 50% off on each one...so...what would have cost me about $25 only cost me about $15.  YAY!  I am ALWAYS looking for more buttons though, IMO, you can NEVER have too many...cuz I go through them like water when making button projects!  LOL!

Someone (about 3 pages back and after reading three pages can't remember who) had asked what pattern the aprons were, it was MaCall's Easy stich 'n save M5358, and I did letter C.

All you quilters amaze me, the basic two that I did for QFK were hard and frustrating for me! Maybe some day I'll try again, but for now I'm just going to awe over you skills!

Thanks for the pattern number.  I am looking for one to make and checking out all sorts of them on craftster.  I think I am paralyzed by indecision because there are way too many cool ones to look at here. 

My first 'quilt' was a total disaster!  If it hadn't been for a very wise woman who said, "just finish it, learn from it and move on", I probably would not have ever made another one.  I still have and cherish that first effort.  I learned a lot.

SapphireMoon you are soooo lucky to have a Joanns!  I miss Joann's something fierce.  We don't have one in town yet.  The closest one is a 2 hour drive.  I keep threatening to go there but haven't yet.  Seems silly for just one store.  Now if they had an Ikea there as well I'd be there once a month  but the closest Ikea is a good 4 hour drive to Atlanta 


Can I just say that tonight I am seriously looking foward to the kids going to bed tonight? ...And that I am planning on having a beer after the little hellions are in bed??  Wow it was a long drive home from art class today... really really long.  I feel tired and old after having them in the car for 40 minutes.  sigh I love my chitlins but man I think they have end of school year fever something fierce!  Only 2 1/2 weeks left of school and they are wild wild wild

My kids are going to bed early as well and I'm having a beer as well, I'm kinda in a funk all of a sudden!  Sooo tired and no umph.  I looked at my list wanting to craft but I just don't have the umph to do it...

If my Joann's was that far away, I would TOTALLY make a weekend of it. *Sigh* A weekend to go shopping and have a mini-casion. It would be bliss
