wow--I missed two days of this thread and you guys just rocked out your projects!!

Have to add doggie clothes now to my list...nephew wants some for his new Yorkie baby!

Audio--you are so organized with your list!  I am going to add my craftalongs and swaps to my list so it does not look like I am slacking on my 50's list!!  Seriously, I am crafting... Cheesy

loving the yoga pants--but now I am intrigued by the yoga socks!!!  I bet I could make a splash at my yoga class wearing both of these (plus I saw an awesome yoga mat in one of the swaps that was argyle!!  I would love to fix up a plain mat!)

I also need cloth napkins...I have plain ones that I was going to embroider with my embroidery machine, but I would rather make interesting fabric ones...

This thread is so full of ideas--my list is growing--it is suppose to be shrinking!! ha ha

How did the french dip turn out? If it was good, do you mind sharing the recipe? French dip is one of my faves.
i wasn't awfully excited about it, but my husband looooved it. Smiley
i found the recipe here:
http://allrecipes.com/Recipe/Easy-Slow-Cooker-French-Dip/Detail.aspx
(i am trying to figure out how to do a hyperlink, the last couple tries have flopped, any idea?)

This is how you do a hyperlink
[ url=]Link Name
With no spaces in the codes (I had to put one in before the first url so that it would show up for you to see it) and after the = sign you put in the url for the website you want to link to. Does that help?

One down, forty-nine to go!  ( #25)

This is the first time I've had the nerve to post anything I knitted.  I'm a slow knitter and am proving to be slow at "getting it right".  Before these dishcloths, I had only made a garter stitch Christmas scarf for my granddaughter (who couldn't care less about dropped stitches and the like).

What I will accomplish in 2010:

1)      zombie giraffe for W

2)      fleece snake for A

3)      learn resin casting

4)      wallet for W

5)      try freezer paper stenciling

6)      try crayon-tinted embroidery

7)      grocery bags for E

8     apron for E

9)      apron for me

10)    shorts for T

11)    skirt for T

12)    knitted lap blanket for W

13)    knitted lap blanket for T

14)    knitted lap blanket for R

15)    knitted lap blanket for M

16)    knitted lap blanket for AC

17)    potholders for E

18)    fabric buckets for WIP

19)    cushions for bistro set

20)    take oil painting class

21)    yoga socks for T

22)    purse for me

23)    finish both "sisters" scrapbooks

24)    start TJ's scrapbook... finish at least 12 pages

25)   dishcloths for TP

This is the one I like the best:

Any knitters who want to click on the picture for the larger version and give me critique and tips, I would love that!  I have no knitters in my life to go to when I'm stuck or even to show my work to and see if I'm on the right track.  Be brutally honest if you decide to offer criticism because I really want to master this skill.

26)    sewing machine cover, mat, thread catcher

27)    paint sewing cabinet!

28)    do something creative with yard sale desk

29)    finally finish mosaic accent table I started 5 years ago

30)    try at least one new recipe each month

31)    crayon or marker roll for A

32)    Aprons for C & W

33)    fleece scarf for H

34)    use too small blk and pink skirt to make something new

35)    tea wallet for T

36)    2 pincushions with matching needle books

37)    make a book safe or two

38)    make a clock of some sort

39)    make a toy from fabric yoyos

40)    paint kitchen cabinets

41)    rag or t-shirt rug for craft area

42)   coil, magazine, or record bowl... maybe all

43)    sock monkey for T

44)    cross-stitched wall art for W

45)    rag quilt

46)    grow organic bell peppers, and maybe strawberries

47)    fleece blanket for S

48)    two baby gifts for B and T's new babies

49)    make tablecloths for at least 5 units at school

50)     be in at least one swap at all times and never ever miss a deadline

This is how I do it...
1. Open Square bracket, type word "URL" then = then the URL of the page you want to link to.

2. Then Close Square bracket, then type the text you want to use as the link text (like, click here, or whatever you want it to say)

3. Open square bracket, then a forward slash, then the word "URL" then close square bracket.

So it should look like this... click here , without the spaces after the first 'url'.

Hope that wasn't too confusing!

ETA - this is the same way that audio just showed you, it just has an extra step so that rather than seeing the whole link written out in blue, you'll see the text you picked out instead.

Okay, now I KNOW it's confusing, I'm not explaining it well.  Sorry! lol

I went to Sunday School and had 1 pre-k and 1 kindergardener(sp) for my class. We got through early with the lesson. So I was just doodling butterflies and flowers.Next thing I know each of them wanted me to draw them butterflies and flowers. So I was going to make a card for my mom. They saw what I was doing and I ended up making & cutting out 7 butterflies & 3 flowers.Does that count toward my 50 projects ?If so do I count them as one or ten different projects? Undecided

Update time!  I was doing not very well on keeping up, until a lovely trip to JoAnn's today, where I got some basics that helped me finish up some things.  Anyway, I have two finished projects to post:
2.   Jean skirt from jeans with ridiculous holes in the crotch

This was really simple, especially since the jeans were so worn out, it wasn't hard to sew through even four layers of the denim.  I really love the flower fabric in the middle.  I had previously been trying to use it to patch the giant holes in the jeans, until I gave up on that to turn them into this. Smiley

10.   Make a black lacy choker
This one went a little....astray from my original idea, turning into something much more edgy than I usually wear, but I'm okay with that.  I was having trouble finding any sort of black lace (and I really wanted it to be black, just the picture in my head of it) that was the right size, with a decent pattern, etc.  And then I stumbled upon this grommetted fake leather trim, and I just ran with it.  Resulting in this!

The red ribbon goes all the way past the ends, so you just put it on by tying it in a bow!

On my neck so you get an idea of the size.

I've technically also finished "make 5 pieces from reconned costume jewelry", but I've decided most of them are too easy to count yet.  I did a lot of clip on earrings to rings or post earrings, charms onto new chains, that sort of thing.  So I'll count it done, but keep working until I get some really cool ones to share!

Sorry, that was a little long...just so excited! (And none of my things are complicated enough to get their own posts!)  Keep it up, everybody!

(Also, if I need to make my pictures smaller, I can do so, if someone tells me how! Smiley )
