Adorable poppet.  Love all the crochet.

I am back in business!  My DH let me pick out a new sewing machine for my birthday!  I love it!  I will start posting some finished things again once I get done playing!

FriendlyNeighbourPsycho -- the string gardens are really intriguing, I'll be watching your progress.  The gardener in me is shaking my head at the original site, with the trees in the string and moss balls.  I can't imagine they actually grew a 6' tree with a rootmass the size of a bowling ball -- but it's still a great way to display them for a special occassion.  Did you use nylon twine?  I may have to try it myself!

And kwiltykate, I love the poppet!

Speaking of gardens.... I almost hesitate to list this as a craft -- except I really think these are cute! I always like to include a lot of information with the plants I take to our annual swap.  I simply printed out the information, cut the labels with curvy scissors, and used mailing tape on both sides to fix them to extra long coffee stirrers.  they won't last forever, but they should last the rest of the season -- until gardeners learn the plant!

20. Plant labels

(I had to make special two sided labels for the Resurrection lilies -- since they *do* look dead at this time of year!)

Great to have you here, abbytail!  Your list looks interesting.  And yofi... for a moment I thought you had prepared a label saying I ATEN'T DEAD and wondered what it was for.  I had to read it twice.  I should give my Pratchett books a break...

Okay!  I got the mojo back!!

I am changing a LOT of things on my list but am not ready to repost it yet, still working on what exactly should be on it.  HOWEVER - the most exciting news ever! - I was just asked today to teach a workshop on art journaling!  Despite the fact that I have yet to post anything to the paper boards (lol) art journaling is so totally one of my favorite things to do.  I am really excited to put the class together and do the run through with my sisters - it will be great practice for me and a whole new world for them, as they really have new clue what 'art journaling' even is, lol.

I love the not dead sign for the lilies.  I would be one of the people who thought they were dead and be all depressed and rip 'em out!  The markers are a great idea.

Am taking a crafting/posting hiatus and formally withdrawing from all the CAL's I was in.  Need time to recharge and rewire.  But, I am still lurking and loving you guys like crazy, keep posting the amazing projects!!!  You all rock!
