The brighter cottontots colors don't bother me so much, and I've been thinking about trying out my tie dye dies on the white, and then I can have whatever colors i want.  But yeah, the cottontots works up really soft, and sort of fuzzy, and isn't nearly as clean as other yarns.

I just did some checking, and there is still the red cotton-ease on the Joann's website, and the Hancock fabric website seems to still have a large stock...

Sorry to bring up an old thread, but if the Joann's near you has any Cotton Ease in stock, they may be putting it in the clearance bin for their two day sale.  I picked nine balls up for $1.50 each.  The sale is June 17 and 18, so there's one day left (at least).

I just have to figure out what sort of tank top or tee I'm going to make with some of it Smiley

My joann's never carried it.  Sad  But the Hancock STILL had some in stock when I was there a couple weeks ago.  They NEVER put their yarn on sale, though.

I just purchased a bunch of cotton-ease at Tuesday Morning.  They are selling it in 3 packs for $5.99.  Not as good as the Joann's sale.  The Tuesday Morning I was at (Modesto, CA) also had 3 packs of Wool-Ease in sport weight.  I don't remember the price.  And they had 3 packs of the Lion Brand Polar type yarn for $9.99.

i don't know if the cotton ease was on sale for that two day sale, because  i picked up 6 balls of it at my JoAnn's  for 1.50 a week ago, before the sale.  Does this mean they aren't going to carry it anymore? Sad i hope not because  i really liked the color and it was easy to work with
maybe i'll just have to go buy somemore

I'm so pissed about this because I was in the middle of making a sweater out of Cotton Ease in Pistachio, and now I can't find more yarn for it. Damn.

Where do you live?  I was in a Tuesday Morning in Schaumburg, IL, and they had a lot of Pistachio left.  They were selling it in bags of 3 for $5.99.  If you don't have a Tuesday Morning near you, I will get some and send it to you.  IM me if you want...

I'm not sure what was going on with the Joann's sale, because the one near my house hardly EVER puts yarn on clearance Sad  That's the cheapest I've ever seen them bring any out. The timing might have been coincidental.  I want to look and see if they have any left, but I'm afraid I'll be disappointed.  The orange is completely gone, and they had a bunch of yellow and some red left.  I picked two balls of the candy blue in the same dyelot and the rest were odd balls Cheesy  It is a nice yarn.  They had the TLC Cara Mia on sale too, which is similar.
