My take on the pink-and-green trend:

I hand-drew the pattern after looking at a few different stegosaurus pictures on the internet, but I also improvised quite a bit as I went.  I like embroidering useful things (I still don't know what one is supposed to do with a tea towel), but that canvas is a bitch to sew through.  My fingers got really sore.

Sadly, no.  I bought it at Michaels.  I'd love to start sewing, but fabric stores scare me!  They're so overwhelming and I have no idea where to begin.

I have the problem of just impulsively buying fabric and then later matching up two random patterns... most of the time it works out!  Wink
But back to the subject... your embroidery is very good! And obviously drawing skills since you did it yourself! Are you going to do any more dinosaurs?

Thanks so much!  I'm blushing.  Smiley

Lrschic, I definitely plan to do more dinosaurs.  I just need to figure out things to put them on!

(I still don't know what one is supposed to do with a tea towel)

They're for drying your dishes, and are also useful when cooking to clean up spills, etc..

Cute stegosaurus. Smiley

He is nicely done!! Now the bag needs to be used...nothing worse in my opinion than bags that haven't been softened up by use... ;0
