Moving to Vegas in August

Well, today is my last day at work. We'll be loading up and leaving Sunday. We were leaving tomorrow, but we're driving and we would have reached Louisiana at the same time as Arlene, so were holding off one day.

Anyhoo, this will probally be my last post from Miami, so wish me luck and I'll see ya on the other side!

The trip took forever! 4 1/2 days, 111 hours and 2767 miles! 

Be we made it, safe and sound. I haven't really left the house much, I've been trying to re-coop. But, I'll keep you all posted on any cool things I find.

Glad to hear you made it there in one piece!  What a long trip, my oh my. 
 Ive had some spare time lately so i looked up my essential stores to make sure theyre in vegas and of course they are.  Theres about 10 Micheals around, 15ish walmarts, Dollar stores aplenty (they come in handy ya know) and 20 Del Tacos.. which are more california based so i dont know if that makes either of you excited like it did me...

WOW... no joke that was a long trip. Wonderful you made it safe and I hope you find lots to do. BTW the rio is a cool hotel to play around in. The mexican restraunt in the rio is awesome!

I'm excited because last time i was there i found dollar tree (they are all over here in texas). Nothing over 1 dollar. They are the best!

Well guys, I was in Vegas for about 6 days for an induction session for my teaching program.  They showed us some of the nice, off the strip places, as well as some time ON the strip.. which frankly, gets old real quick.  I went to First Friday.  It was aight, i think i expected more.  The idea behind it is nice, I was tired though and dang, it was so hot even after the sun was down.  So i'll prolly check it out again once im living there and maybe when i have a bit of money to spend on local art talent. 

Hope you're settling in well earthmama.  I'll be arriving for good August 7th.  Ack, i just dropped icecream.

i literally just hopped off a flight from vegas from visiting my fiance. I'm not exactly sure where we are going to live yet. (So far planning on staying at the budget budget suites - weekly rates woo!) We are having trouble finding a place that lets in people under 55 for furnished places... and if we do find one, they don't allow pets over 25 pounds (we have a basset puppy on the way, thanks to the fiance's parents). They reach about 40-50lbs i believe. Ugh... I hope we get the living mess straightened out.

I think we are looking to live in Henderson... But thats not positive yet. Check out lake mead if you can too. Its soo gorgeous!
