I had decided to make these a while ago and finally got around to making a cardboard pattern so I could make the complete set, or in my case three Donatellos and three Raphaels for friends. I haven't decided what to do for the eyes (or if I am going to put on any eyes at all) so if you have any suggestions please let me know.

Also! Donatello looks really washed out here but his mask is the right color.

You know, I don't even like TMNT (I know, right?  Sorry!) HOWEVER!  I think these are great.  They're immediately recognizable, and I don't think you need the eyes.  If you did eyes, it would just look like you needed to add other features as well.

Good job!

I think they need eyes.  You could needle felt them, or use seed beads.  Yay for ninja turtles!

I like them without the eyes, like littlebiscuit.  They're simple, yet easily recognizable - and completely gender neutral!  Great job!

It's ok. You are forgiven! Because you like my pins... Cheesy

I think they would look creepy or weird with eyes. Also I don't want to futz with something so small.

I was thinking of making them all white to make them look more bad ass.

Well for one I LOVE them! Just how they are, they're easily recognizable, and if someone can't recognize them then well they suck right?  Wink

If you do decide to add eyes then take into consideration the generation that you're appealing to. The all white eyes are more the more modern ninja turtles which I personally don't like. I think it's mostly just cause I grew up with the original turtles who just have regular eyes and weren't as "hard" looking.
