I am not sure this goes here...but it fits better than other categories.

I did NOT make the backpack. We bought a ton of these many years ago (dd#1 took one to K...and she is almost 21) and still have a few floating around.

I put this applique on the backpack for a guy friend of dd#1 at college. I wasn't sure what else a guy would like that was not too personal (especially from a friend's MOM!).

He likes Celtic Crosses...but I didn't want to spend forever doing the weaving of a design, so I went this route. I doodled this up and did it mostly freehand. My applique did a little twisting *sigh* but overall I'm pleased and I've been reassured that he will like it.

Thanks for looking Smiley

Wow!  I had a bag JUST LIKE the one you used in high school.  Mine however was not NEARLY this cool, and the closest I came to decrotaing it was doodling band and musicians' names on it.  I would have KILLED for this bag.  Oh, I LOVE it!  Thanks for posting this, I'd forgotten all about my own bag, and this just makes it that much cooler.
