These are some tea cup zipper pouches I made for my kid's teachers.  They are surprisingly easy to do.  I was inspired by this site www.patchworkpottery.com, she does such beautiful work.  I filled them with tea bags and Dove chocolates.  Everyone loved them.  I used this tut to figure out how to do the zipper http://www.twelve22.org/2006/07/zipper_tutorial.html

Thanks everyone!  I don't have a pattern, but I will try to sketch out for you what I did and explain it a little.  I'll try to get it on here for you tomorrow.

Those are adorable!  I have them on my list of gifts to make, but haven't gotten to them yet.

There's a French site that has a tutorial on it for a similar bag - http://kerouezee.over-blog.com/article-12257927.html -- I'm not sure if the following link will work, but this is the page translated into English by Google:  http://translate.google.ca/translate?u=http%3A//kerouezee.over-blog.com/article-12257927.html&hl=en&langpair=auto|en&tbb=1&ie=UTF-8  Here are a few photos of similar bags - http://kerouezee.over-blog.com/album-1017746.html and http://www.flickr.com/groups/patchworkpotterypatterns/pool/.

The Patchwork Pottery pattern is in the book Pretty Little Purses and Totes, on page 50.  It truly is an adorable little bag!

Thank you, so much everyone!  I have made a little sketch of the "pattern" I used.  I'm getting ready to leave right now, but when I get back tonight I will try to get some instructions up here.

I've never written up instructions before, so bare with me here.  If you have any questions feel free to ask.  I didn't measure anything while I was doing this, so the sizes are all approximate.

Sew the top piece  to the bottom piece for both sides.  This is the piece I use for the pattern for the lining piece.  I used the thinnest piece of quilt batting that I had and pinned it to back of the outter piece.  I then sewed on trim or narrow ribbon along the seam where the bottom piece and top piece meet.  Then you can quilt any way you want.  I have no experience quilting so I just sewed four lines from the bottom to the point where the ribbon/trim is, but you could do something fancier.

I then used this tut to assemble the whole thing.  http://www.twelve22.org/2006/07/zipper_tutorial.html I used whatever zippers I had on hand just cut them to the right size.

For the little tag I used some muslin and ironed a piece of interfacing between two pieces to stiffen it.  And I just used a permanent marker to write on the word "tea".

Just let me know if you have any questions!
