my sister is the crafty one in the family; i usually only paint.  anywho, i had to drop off my cell at the store to have something repaired and i wandered into michaels to kill time while it was being fixed.  annnnd i came out with jewelry making stuff.  so these are the things i've made over the past few days.  like i said, i'm not esp. crafty, but i think they turned out pretty well for not knowing what i was doing!

necklace i made for my mom:

necklace i made to match what i was wearing that day:

^ this one i ended up shortening a little, so there's less space btw the two strands.  i also made it matching earrings later.

bracelet i made for a friend:

Pretty solid for a first go-sure you haven't done this in a previous incarnation?  Your painting must be incredible--have it posted anywhere?

Beautiful! I especially love the fringe-y beaded bracelet.  Smiley Would love to see some of your paintings as well!

I agree - you are destined for jewelry.  Most folks work on pieces for a while before making something like this.  I would also like to see your art, though your jewelry is art.  Consider yourself crafty and talented in your family and the world.  thanks.

thanks guys!

this is the painting i did last week.  my parents wanted something to match the awkward-ish shade they painted the powder room.  canvas is 2'x3'.  paint is acrylic and interior house paint.
